Gail Leven Pollock holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Music degrees from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, and a Master of Business Adminstration degree from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia.
She is a class piano instructor and university accompanist at Mercer University, the organist at Riverside United Methodist Church in Macon, the accompanist for the Mercer Children’s Choir, and a published composer of organ, piano, and choral works for Shawnee Press, Alfred Publishing, Abingdon Press, and Lorenz Music.
She has performed as a pianist, organist, and singer in music festivals and choir tours in England, Italy, and Austria. She is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), the American Guild of Organists (AGO), and the National Association for Music Education (MENC).
In addition, just to be sure she didn’t miss anything, she once served as a Director of Music, accompanied musical theater productions, played keyboard in a band, wrote and recorded a jingle for a beer commercial, served as keyboardist in a symphony, and played for a mass at St. Peter’s in Rome. In her spare time, Gail likes horseback riding and traveling to somewhere different.
